Chapter Nine
Kullian pressed Rhys up against the wall of the elevator as it descended. He pushed his tongue into Rhys's mouth, taking over, caressing, in an almost desperate attempt to get closer. What was happening to him? He never did this. He was always in control, but with this young man he felt totally out of it. He'd managed to salvage the situation because Rhys was now pliant in his arms but he both thrilled and cringed inside knowing it had been a lucky turn of events that allowed him to go on breathing at this moment. No one had ever had the guts or the ability to defy him, threaten him, like Rhys had just done.
Of course he knew, even at the time, the young man wouldn't be able to kill him; however that wasn't the point. Kullian prided himself on never putting himself into situations that allowed for luck to even be a factor. Luck might be an extra, but Kullian learned long ago it was never anything to count on. He knew he could easily have, and did, take the knife from the man—could tell just because of the way Rhys moved, the way he sat, even by the look in his eyes. Kullian saw he was in no condition to be able to fight defensively, much less offensively. But again that wasn't the point. The point was he had allowed it to happen in the first place. That was number one. And number two was the very fact his guards, especially Korras of all people, had let someone get near to him carrying a weapon at all. But he understood even his people knew the young man wouldn't do anything, which was why they allowed them to walk out. They knew, even with a knife to their boss's throat, Kullian was in control.
And he was… physically.
Mentally? Emotionally? Different story.
Because, number three, he absolutely loved the fact he had been challenged.
He reached down to rub the tight fabric that imprisoned Rhys's member. He longed to release it, taste it, and he would. He had to be patient—which was another thing. Kullian was a patient man. But he was finding he had to suppress his desires before he simply stopped the damn elevator right here and took the man on the shiny, tiled floor. There were the security cameras to consider and he was not up to giving his subordinates a show.
At least any more than they were already getting at the moment.
The lift came to a gentle stop and the doors slid open. Kullian pulled back from the deep kiss to look into a flushed face with half-closed hazel eyes. The look of lust was so strong Kullian let out a growl, took Rhys's hand, and pulled him out of the bright elevator into the semi-darkness of the underground parking lot that was exclusive to only the club's VIPs and Kullian. Usually it was only ever Kullian's limo there, as it was today, a driver already waiting, back door open, limo running.
